Operation and set up of the SE-1CNC-C dovetailer is simple and accurate to meet the ever-increasing demand of today's production environment. Using the touch screen operator interface the type of construction is selected. Set up information is then entered into the machine's computer. For English dovetails both drawer sides are loaded vertically, each against a side fence and secured each with a manually operated pneumatic clamp. The drawer front and back are then placed into the machine each against a side fence and are secured in the same fashion. The operator then starts the spindle motor and depresses a foot pedal. The dovetail cycle begins. Once it is complete the clamps can be released and the parts removed, flipped end-to-end and to opposite fences, clamped and the cycle restarted. Both the mortise and the tenons are cut simultaneously. Spindle movement is controlled by servomotors; programmable centerlines; number of spindles – 1; 3 HP high frequency spindle motor 18000 to 24000 RPM; drawer heights from 1-1/2" up to 25"; drawer widths from 8" up to 48"; drawer depth is 8-1/2" minimum front to back; material thickness 3/8" to 3/4" on sides, 7/16" to 2" on fronts/backs; machine dimensions – 65"W x 33"D x 48"H; machine weight – 697 lbs.
