These machines were imported by Fortis and are very heavily built. One of the nicest things about this particular planer is that it has had one owner and has only dimensioned cedar. Being that it has spent it’s life primarily planing soft woods it is in excellent mechanical condition. The segmented infeed rollers and chip breakers show almost no wear and the beds aren’t all beaten up. It is a really interesting design in that everything is easily adjustable and easily maintained. For instance you will find 4 grease fittings on the upper rear left of the machine. The entire machine is lubed from these points. Beds rollers can be adjusted by the detachable handle directly left of the bed with the height of the segmented chip breakers and segmented infeed rollers being able to be adjusted by a knob that turns on the top front left of the machine. Max thickness capacity is 9 1/4″ and max width is 24 7/8″. The table is motorized and features power raise and lower. Multiple feed speeds and the machine even features a foot brake and knife grinder. Approximately 10HP 3-phase 220 volt main motor |
