2013 SCM F520 NOVA 20" Jointer w/Blade Guard Included: Overview: The F410 Nova is a heavy duty long bed 20" jointer designed to meet the needs of the most demanding environments. All SCM Jointers incorporate a parallelogram movement of the infeed and outfeed tables. This system has the table height adjustment through a system of four cams (one per corner of support) that pivot on a radius equal to the head radius. This radiused pivot ensures that the table chip breaker remains in the correct position from the head. Some manufacturers use a wedge type movement which allows the table and chip breaker to move away from the head as it is adjusted for more removal. This will allow splintering and poor quality finish.
